St. Petersburg photographer Sergei Kondratyev became a defendant in a criminal case of insulting the feelings of believers, initiated after a video shot in front of a church in the Nevsky district. According to the organization "Exit"*, a young man representing the LGBT movement, captured a kiss with his friend in front of the religious building and posted the video on social networks. The actions of the two young men were complained to law enforcement agencies by a parishioner of Trinity Church "Kulich and Pascha," previously unknown to Kondratyev.

"When I posted the video, I didn't think there could be such consequences, and I still think my video can't offend anyone or cause moral harm - it's just a normal kiss. But I'm preparing for the worst," said Kondratyev, confident in the inevitability of a guilty verdict.

To represent his interests in the trial will be the lawyer Ksenia Mikhailova. The defendant in the case faces up to one year in prison.

It is worth noting that criminal cases were opened regularly in Russia in the last year because of posing on the background of churches. For example, in March, a St. Petersburg girl's candid photo shoot led to a mandatory work sentence.
