Russian Orthodox Christian Priest Brilliantly Explains "Why I Never Go to Church" Phenomenon

Russia loved this American joke so much they expanded on it greatly

People make all sorts of excuses for not going to church. A few years ago, some brilliant person decided to illustrate the absurdity of these arguments, by replacing “why I don’t go to church” with “why I don’t wash”. The results are very funny - i.e. “I was forced to as a child” or "I’ll start washing when I get older and dirtier" or "People who wash are hypocrites — they think they are cleaner than everybody else."

For many of us, this may be old news.

But what you might not know is that Russians (naturally) took it to a whole new level. In 2013, an anti-suicide forum posted the list. The top 10 (hilarious) reasons why people don't go to church went viral, and quickly turned into 60, and now it's over 90.

Father Andrey Tkachev, a popular Russian priest, used his daily 3-minute airtime on the TsarGrad TV station to share his favorite excuses with his nationwide audience.

We promise you will chuckle.
