"Orthodoxy & Sports" Festival in Russia, with Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Boxing, Grappling, Freestyle Wrestling

Patriarch Kirill gave his blessing for this cultural festival in Moscow, and it includes a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament for girls . . .

During the first week of June, the 7th cultural festival for “Orthodoxy and Sports” was held at the Kolomenskoye Museum-Preserve, with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill.

This year the festival featured a large-scale martial arts zone, consisting of four categories: boxing, mixed martial arts (MMA), grappling and freestyle wrestling.

In the martial arts category, Elena Kosareva from the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity won the Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament for girls, as can be seen in the following video:

The holiday gathered famous athletes and participants who held free master classes and performances for all comers, and it ended late in the evening with a concert.
