Greek Orthodox Bishop Prays Benediction for National Group Supporting Sodomy & Infanticide

ARCHBISHOP ELPIDOPHOROS was scheduled to deliver the Benediction at the DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION.

The Democrat Party platform of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris openly supports infanticide (abortion up to birth and even possibly allowing the child to die after a botched abortion). They also openly support homosexuality, transgenderism, and a vast array of sexual immorality.

Joe Biden is a Roman Catholic and his own bishop of the Scranton, PA Diocese has excommunicated him in 2008 as well as any who would vote for him for his extreme anti-Christian stances.

How can an Orthodox Bishop pray a benediction for GOD'S BLESSING upon the proceedings? Would an ancient bishop pray a benediction blessing a Pagan Roman Convocation?

The women political leaders who support abortion up to birth and promote it remind me of a coven of witches. Could witches do worse than they have done? 62 million abortions in the U.S. since 1973.

I know that I am a retired priest of a previous generation, but not only is this benediction a desecration — it is an abysmal witness to those considering converting to Orthodoxy. And will be scandalous to many of our faithful.

Rather than to call down God's blessings upon the proceedings it would be more appropriate for the Bishop to call for REPENTANCE or call down God's CURSE! Lord have mercy.

Here is the text to the prayer by Archbishop Eldipophoros, the citizen of Turkey who currently presides over all the Greek Orthodox parishes in the United States of America:

"Greetings, I am Archbishop Elpidophoros of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Let us pray. Most merciful and loving God, as we gather in soberness of mind and of heart, for the sake of our nation and its future, we pray that you would shine the light of your countenance upon the delegate of this convention, and upon Vice President Joe Biden for the highest office in the land. As we face the future as one American Nation, bring us to our best selves, and inspire our better Angels in peace, in fairness, and in generosity, that we may fight against injustice, inequality, and hatred, that we may achieve a common good, a greater good, in the Name of the Holy Trinity we pray, Amen."

No call to repentance. No rejection of legalized sodomy. No weeping over the tens of millions of children slaughtered by liberal policies. Just an endorsement for Joe Biden, the man selected by the DNC to promote these grave sins into America's future.

May the Lord have mercy on us all.
