The lawmaker proposes that pre-revolutionary spoken etiquette be brought back into the ordinary school program.
He listed the things that students should study. In his opinion, the main genres of etiquette that need to make a comeback are greetings, farewell statements, expressions of gratitude, apologies, congratulations, requests, expressions of condolences, refusals, denials, and objections.
Sysoev believes that reintroducing the old rules of respectful spoken interaction will raise the moral standard of Russian society.
The Russian language arts, before 1917, with the rules of proper manners, carried within itself lessons of respect, which can not be said about modern Russian, the deputy noted.
He has sent his proposal to the Russian Vice President for approval.
