Pilgrims will be able to get to the spiritual capital of the Urals for free as part of the celebration of St. Simeon's Days. The electric train from Yekaterinburg to Verkhoturye and back will be organized on May 24 and 25.
As reported by the press service of the Ekaterinburg diocese, the train fare, as in previous years, will be free for pilgrims. The costs were assumed by the benefactors.
"To take advantage of the possibility of travel at the expense of charitable funds, it is necessary to apply to the conductor directly in the train to receive a travel ticket" - was stated in the message.
The electric train schedule will look as follows:
May 24 - departure from Yekaterinburg at 8:00 (railway station), electric train 6415/7417. The train will pass through the railway stop VIZ (8:06 - 8:08), Verkh-Neyvinsk (9:53 - 9:55), Nevyansk (10:25 - 10:27), Nizhny-Tagil (11:23 - 11:47), Goroblagodatskaya (12:46 - 12:48), Kushva (12:53 - 12:55). Arrival in Verkhoturye is scheduled for 14:46.
May 25 - departure from Verkhoturye at 15:00, electric train 7418/6420. It will pass through Kushva (16:39 - 16:41), Goroblagodatskaya (16:45 - 16:47), Nizhny-Tagil (17:45 - 18:28), Nevyansk (19:28 - 19:30), Verkh-Neyvinsk (19:59 - 20:01), VIZ (21:25 - 21:26). Arrival in the Ural capital - at 21:31.

St. Simeon of Verkhoturye Days are also held in September and December. December 31 is in honor of the canonization of Simeon as a saint in 1694. September 24th - in honor of the return of the saint's relics to Verkhoturye in 1992.
