Thousands March in Pro-Family, Anti-LGBT Festival Celebrating Traditional Marriage

Thousands of Orthodox Christians in Odessa, Ukraine, held a festival with a clear, pro-family, anti-LGBT message. The children enjoyed singing, while learning that the only true marriage is a traditional marriage . . .

In Odessa, Ukraine, on August 28th, on the feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 3,000 believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) marched in support of traditional family values.

According to the UOC Information Center with reference to the official website of the Odessa diocese, the march was held with the blessing of Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa and Izmail within the framework of the #GoodUnites project.

A large number of priests worked together to initiate this march for traditional family values.

Thousands of people came together, carrying banners, icons, flags, and balloons. Many citizens brought their whole families to the march, making it possible for numerous children to join in the festivities.

Participants marched from the Transfiguration Cathedral through the central streets of Odessa to the Duke de Richelieu monument on Primorsky Boulevard, where the participants of the procession were waiting for a concert program, a performance by the choir "Peacekeepers".

The slogan "Orthodox Family - Strong Ukraine" became the main message of the Orthodox inhabitants, not only for Odessa, but also for all Ukraine.

The participants of the event thanked the organizers for the concert, treats, and entertainment for the children.
