The Orthodox liturgy is packed with symbolism which even many Orthodox Christians are not aware of. This video does a beautiful job capturing the beauty and mystery of the Orthodox liturgy, and explaining the meaning of its many details.
It was made by priest Alexander Koranda as his thesis project while attending St. Tikhon's Theological Seminary, in collaboration with ROCOR (Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia).
Much of the liturgy used in this 30 minute film is performed in English, very helpful for non-Russian speakers.
The video is narrated by John Sutko in an unusually deep bass voice, which well conveys the power and majesty of the liturgy.
We can't say enough good things about this truly beautiful film. Well worth taking a look.
