Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Tolstoy proposed exempting fathers of large families from paying social contributions

Speaking at the plenary session of the World Russian People's Council, Pyotr Tolstoy expressed bewilderment that contributions from bachelors and fathers of many children are the same, “after all, the children of a father with many children in the future will feed an elderly bachelor with their taxes.”

“A person who has raised three or more children has already more than compensated for his pension contributions,” says Pyotr Tolstoy.

“If we exempt employers from paying into the social fund for an employee with many children, everyone will need such fathers with many children. Their jobs will be guaranteed - it will become much more profitable for employers to hire a father with many children than another employee - by 30%,” the deputy noted.

He added that having many children should be synonymous with well-being and high social status.
